1960s
The Glen Affric Hotel had long stood next to Cannich Bridge when it was taken over Murdo MacKenzie in late 1963. Murdo was born in Dunkeld of Skye stock, and had spent time playing for Glengarry and gaining experience of administration at Lochaber Camanachd.
Murdo would be key to the efforts at reviving the club and placing it on a trajectory it would follow up until the present day. Working with John Boa from the Struy Inn who was treasurer, Murdo as secretary entered the club back into competition. The team colours were changed at this time from red shirts and blue shorts to the present strip of maroon and blue.
Strathglass had a very successful year in season 1966-67 winning the Strathdearn Cup, Glenmhor, and MacDonald Cups. The Glenmhor Cup was won again in 1968. Strathglass entered their first juvenile competition in 1967 when a team played in the Strathdearn sixes at the Bught Park.
Soon afterwards the club suffered the loss of some key players to Beauly and Lovat. The club has always faced challenges due to the sparse population, and seasonal work of many of the players who are keepers and stalkers.
